Wounded and fed up with battle, Inman (Jude Law) goes AWOL from his Civil War battalion and crosses North Carolina on foot toward his home of Cold Mountain and the woman he loves, Ada (Nicole Kidman). As the two trade letters, Inman dodges the authorities who would reenlist him, and Ada gets help from Ruby (Renee Zellweger), a sassy drifter.

As the imaginative youngsters turn even the most freakish elements of New York into a wonderland, their parents try to reconcile their past and keep their family together. In the hotel bar he meets Charlotte (Scarlett Johansson), a young philosophy student who’s tagging along with her photographer husband (Giovanni Ribisi). As fellow insomniacs and Americans out of their element, Bob and Charlotte make a connection and discover they’re not so alone in the big city after all. Directed by Sofia Coppola (The Virgin Suicides), who is up for the Best Director Oscar.

Richard Curtis, the writer of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill and Bridget Jones Diary takes his stab at directing the ensemble cast romantic comedy. Runaway Jury (PG-13)
Gene Hackman and Dustin Hoffman meet on screen for the first time in the adaptation of John Grisham’s courtroom drama gone wild. But other forces threaten to sway the jury: juror John Cusack and a mysterious woman (Rachel Weisz) who attempts to blackmail Hackman.

Jack Black is a guitarist named Dewey who gets kicked out of his band just a few weeks before the Battle of the Bands. Desperate for a job, Dewey impersonates Ned to substitute in a fifth-grade classroom. The kids and their principal (Joan Cusack) are in for a rock ‘n’ roll education they never imagined.
