Best Theater Group
Actors Co-op
Once again, this little company that could takes the category, beating out the larger, better-funded gorilla that is the Clarence Brown. This year, the Co-op-ers, led by new mom Amy Hubbard and the ever-vivacious Kara Kemp, settled into their Homberg home at the Black Box Theatre. Shows have run the gamut from a sensitive look at death (Arkansaw Bear) to a bawdy comedy (Let's Get Medieval) to a spine-tingling thriller (Jekyll and Hyde). In addition, they've produced a vibrant kids' season, a haunted pie social, and a lawn party. You go, Co-op, and may you add many more BOKs to your collection.

Best Place to take the Kids
Knoxville Zoo
You don't have to be a kid to love the Knoxville Zoo. From lions and tigers and bears (oh my) to constrictors, red pandas and river otters, our zoo has nearly everything any good animal lover could hope to see. Recent additions—like the new elephant and black bear exhibits—continue to make this a great place to take the rug-rat set as well as curious out-of-town guests. Summer or winter, the zoo always has something interesting to experience.
Runners Up: Chuck E. Cheese, Celebration Station
