The response to our ninth annual survey of everything good about Knoxville was, frankly, overwhelming. The official tally was a more than 25 percent increase over our previous ballot record, and that's not counting several hundred entries that were disqualified for assorted reasons (read the instructions, folksit saves us all a lot of trouble). The results may not raise an eyebrow among those who have been with us over the years; in some of these categories, your preferences haven't changed much since the first time around. On the other hand, some longtime champs have been displaced by aggressive newcomers. And while the winners show a definite skew toward Bearden and points west, most parts of the city are represented somewhere in the mix. Plus, we've added "Staff Picks" to highlight some of our own favorite places. Dive in. You might be surprised at what you find.
