Alien Vs. Predator (PG-13)
When scientists discover an ancient pyramid in Antarctica, going to the frozen continent becomes even less appealing when they discover an inter-galactic duel of sorts. Two of the biggest science fiction villains of the ‘80s fight to the death on planet Earth. Who will win: Predator with its invisible cloaking or Alien with that mini-me thing inside its mouth? It’d be a sci-fi nerd’s wet dream if Arnold and Sigourney cameo.
Now Showing: Tinseltown USA, Halls Cinema 7, Foothills 12, Carmike 10

Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid (PG-13)
Gigantic, relentless snakes pick off members of a somewhat anonymous human cast, one victim at a time—again! This sequel to the 1997 Anaconda places a new group of attractive, yet equally witless, heroes in Borneo in search of a rare black orchid, a legendary flower that promises immortality. Will they accomplish their goal or become pet food?

Former Saturday Night Live cast member Will Farrell brings his custom brand of comedy to this ’70s news spoof about women entering the male-dominated world of the nightly news. Somewhere between making love to his ego and drowning in Scotch, Burgundy (Farrell) has become San Diego’s top anchor. His career is threatened when a female anchor Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) joins his team as co-anchor.

Collateral (R)
When offshore narcotrafficers find they are about to be indicted, they do what any good foreign drug cartel would do—hire Vincent (Tom Cruise), a hitman to do some cleaning. Max (Jamie Foxx), an unsuspecting cab driver, is taken hostage in his own cab when Vincent orders him at gunpoint to drive the taxi where he needs to go. The L.A. night gets heavy as the two men become interdependent on each other during a deadly game of cat and mouse with the LAPD and the FBI.

Fahrenheit 9/11 (R)
Oscar-winner Michael Moore’s latest documentary scrutinizes the Bush family’s ties to the Saudi royal family, Osama bin Laden, and the events of Sept. 11, 2001. Not necessarily objective in the traditional documentary sense, Moore’s film spins facts into a compelling, polarizing web of issues, emotions and unanswered questions.
Now Showing: Foothills 12

Festival Express (R)
After being divided, misplaced and nearly destroyed, the footage that makes up this documentary has finally emerged after nearly 35 years to reveal a fascinating portrait of some of history’s greatest rock musicians. Back in 1970, Janis Joplin, the Grateful Dead, The Band and other musical legends boarded a cross-Canadian train, which turned into a five-day jam session on rails only interrupted by the occasional concert layover and liquor run.
