In this case, it’s the mental images of ex-boyfriend Joel (Jim Carrey) from the mind of Clementine (Kate Winslet). When Joel finds out, he opts for the same procedure. In the conclusion to its grandiose slash-fest predecessor, the Bride (Uma Thurman) finally closes in on Bill (David Carradine), the man who shot her and the guests at her wedding. This 1955 comedy originally starred Alec Guinness and Peter Sellers as thieves planning a heist from a London flat. In the revision tweaked by Ethan and Joel Coen, Tom Hanks is a Southern professor who rents a room with an old lady (Irma P. Hall) and proceeds to plan the heist of a cash-laden riverboat casino using her basement as HQ. As he and his thief pals (including Marlon Wayans) pose as a band practicing “church music,” the old lady gets suspicious and threatens the scheme.

Laws of Attraction (PG-13)
High-powered attorneys Daniel Rafferty (Pierce Brosnan) and Audrey Woods (Julianne Moore) are on top of their respective games and on opposite sides of a divorce lawsuit between well-known clients (Michael Sheen, Parker Posey). After a night of drinking, the rival lawyers wake up married, but they must continue the divorce proceedings and deal with the surprising situation.

The adventure includes cute boys, cute dogs and a wacky (and sort of cute) truant officer played by Eugene Levy. Just don’t call them the Olsen Twins.

The returning cast, including Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr., is joined by guests Alicia Silverstone as a reporter and Gellar’s former Buffy co-star Seth Green.

Written and directed by David Koepp (screenwriter of Spider-Man and Panic Room).

Clad in stylish black, the two of them battle vamps, werewolves and even Frankenstein’s monster.

Walking Tall (PG-13)
