House of 1000 Corpses (R)
Techno-metal artist and first-time feature film director Rob Zombie scared Universal so bad with horror movie House that they refused to release it, so lil' Lion's Gate picked it up. It's loosely a remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, i.e., teenagers get lost in the middle of nowhere, end up in a house full of crazies, and all sorts of gross and macabre things befall them.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (PG-13)
Kate Hudson is a women's magazine columnist who has ten days to write a column about all the things women do to drive men away. Matthew McConaughey is an ad exec who bets his boss that he can make a woman fall in love with him in ten days. Two such shallow characters deserve each other, so happily, they chance to meet.

One by one, they begin to die. Who's next? Why is it happening? What's the connection between the strangers? What's the connection with the soon-to-be-executed killer?

Jamie Kennedy is a white wannabe rapper whose father (Ryan O'Neil) is entering the California governor's race. Fearing his son will embarrass him (rightly so, no doubt), he hires a couple of actors (Taye Diggs and Anthony Anderson) to pretend they're thuggz-to-tha-bone gangstez, who proceed to "kidnap" the kid and take him to Compton to teach him about the "real" world.

A sniper (Kiefer Sutherland) has Farrell in his sights demands that Farrell admit all the wrongs he has perpetrated in his life—or he'll kill him.
