Barry came on board in August 1993 and served as editor through December
1995, leaving Metro Pulse in January to take an editorial position with the Prague Post in the Czech Republic. He was also the op/ed page editor for the Knoxville Journal and the editor of the English language daily in China, although not at the same time.
