"A Civil Affairs unit was delivering school supplies and checking on the progress of a clinic in a very small very poor village just outside of Mosul. As we were loading up and preparing to leave I look down and see these three girls standing just a few feet away. As I raised my camera they all allowed smiles to creep into their faces."
