Bicentennial Mall State Park

Big Cypress Tree State Park

This park was named after the largest bald cypress tree in the U.S., which was one of the highlights of the park until struck by lightning in a 1976 storm. Big Hill Pond State Park

Big Ridge State Park

Bledsoe Creek State Park

Booker T. Washington State Park

Burgess Falls State Park

Located in Middle Tennessee, Burgess Falls includes bluffs, narrow ridges, rolling water, and mixed forest. The park is a sanctuary and does not permit recreational bicycling of any kind. Cedars of Lebanon State Park

900 acres of the park are devoted to recreation while the additional 8,100 acres function as a natural area and state forest. Chickasaw State Park

Located in West Tennessee, 1,280 of the park's 14,384 acres are used for recreation. Cordell Hull State Park

This site is located midway between Nashville and Knoxville near the Kentucky border. It contains the original log cabin birthplace and documents and artifacts, including Hull's Nobel Peace Prize medal which is displayed for special occasions. Cove Lake State Park

Cumberland Mountain State Park

This park is located on the Cumberland Plateau, the largest timbered plateau in America. The Homestead Museum, one mile from the park, outlines the history and development of the Cumberland Homestead Community from the 1930s. Cumberland Trail State Park

This park consists of 65 miles of trails but 230 are in the works and will span 10 Tennessee counties from Cumberland Gap National Historic Park to Signal Point. Davy Crockett Birthplace State Park

Located along the Nolichucky River, this park offers camping, fishing, picnic areas, and a museum that outlines the life of Crockett as hunter, hero, politician, and businessman. David Crockett State Park

Dunbar Cave State Park

This park is host to a number of caves and sinkholes, the most prominent being it's namesake. Dunbar Cave has been excavated and was found to have been occupied by man for thousands of years. Fall Creek Falls State Park

Fort Loudoun State Park

Loudoun hosts one of the earliest British forts in the western frontier and a museum which outlines the life of famous Cherokee leader Sequoyah and showcases artifacts. Fort Pillow State Park

Frozen Head State Park

Harpeth Narrows

Harpeth is the site of the oldest man-made tunnels in the U.S. It is listed as a National Historic Landmark, and one mile up stream from the tunnel is Mound Bottoms, an ancient Native American ceremonial center. Henry Horton State Park

Hiwassee/Ocoee Scenic River State Park

Located on Maggie Mill Road at U.S Highway 411, Hiwassee offers canoeing, fishing, rafting, and hiking. Nearby Gee Creek offers camping and picnic areas. Located on U.S Highway 64, the Ocoee is well-known as one of the major whitewater rivers in the Southeastern U.S. possessing Class III, IV, and V rapids. House Mountain State Park

House Mountain contains Knox County's highest point at 2,100 feet and offers 5 miles of trails and scenic views. No additional facilities are provided.

Indian Mountain State Park

Johnsonville State Park

Located off U.S. Highway 70, this park is named for Andrew Johnson and overlooks the site of the Battle of Johnsonville. Four original breastworks are preserved here. Long Hunter State Park

Old Stone Fort State Park

Old Stone Fort is the site of a 2,000 year old Native American ceremonial ground. The ground is made of mounds and walls that combine with the surrounding cliffs and rivers to form an approximately 1.3 mile enclosure. The park is a state archaeological area and provides educational and entertaining programs to increase understanding about the area and culture. Pinson Mounds State Park

Pinson is a state archaeological site dedicated to protecting the history unearthed there. Pinson is a National Historic Landmark and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The park hosts Archaeofest, an annual celebration of Native American culture and archaeology, during the third weekend of September. Camping, hiking, picnic areas, and a museum are also on site. Port Royal State Park

Port Royal was an important site on the route to the West and now hosts a museum documenting the history of the area from aboriginal peoples to today's tobacco farming. Red Clay State Park

Located in the southwest corner of Tennessee, this park is home to a natural landmark, the great council spring or Blue Hole. The spring was used by the Cherokee for water supply during council meetings. A museum and picnic facilities are on site. Reelfoot Lake State Park

Reelfoot is located in the northwest corner of Tennessee. The lake is 25,000 acres, 15,000 of those under water. Reelfoot is abundant in shore and wading birds. The golden and American bald eagles can be seen here as well. Roan Mountain State Park

Sgt. Alvin C. York Historic Park

Named for Sgt. York from Tennessee, one of the most decorated soldiers of World War I, the park encompasses the York family farm and grist mill. Picnic areas and a museum which displays wartime and personal mementos, historical photos, and other personal items of the Yorks' are on-site. South Cumberland is the newest Tennessee State Park. The park is unique because it is made up of ten different locations in four different counties. The visitor's center is located at Monteagle on Highway 41. Directions to all sections can be obtained at this visitors center. Sycamore Shoals State Park

Tims Ford State Park

The area that makes up this park was once used as a fishing and hunting area by natives long before the construction of the dam here. Archaeological finds place man at the site as early as 10-12,000 years ago. Cabins, camping, golf, boating, fishing, picnicking, biking, swimming and hiking, are now the primary activities of the park. Warrior's Path State Park
